People of Pullars Exhibition May-Nov 2022
Commissioned by Perth Museum & Art Gallery
Our young people were commissioned to create their own artwork in response to the idea of contemporary protest. Their work was shown alongside the PMAG social history exhibit of Pullars of Perth – an industrial dyeworks 1824 onwards. How do young people make their voices heard? How do they protest? And what about? The young artists were asked to reflect upon Pullar’s history of protest, conflict, group identity and consumerism. Their artwork established a bridge between past and present through the exploration of these themes, making the history of Pullars relevant for generations today.
