We are passionate about and have a track record of delivering opportunities for young people to develop their potential through creative, employability and enterprise programmes.
Since 2020 Creative Catalyst has successfully supported a stream of young people to progress to college and university, gain employment, take on individual professional commissions and become self-employed.
“Creative Catalyst is essential to **** because she was depressed, lonely and anxious before she went there. It has pushed her to learn new skills, expand existing ones, learn about small business and further education, interact with others, create a portfolio for future study, gain new confidence and independence – at first she wouldn’t even go on her own, now she can, by public transport, and can travel elsewhere. Also she has formed new friendships in a safe environment. It has made a huge difference to her life.” Parent
Young people feel safe and accepted, and encouraged to self-manage their time and creative focus. They are incentivised to engage with a network of creatives with similar interests, in an independent creative space. This transition from formal learning into a more bespoke and professional creative working environment allows individuals to feel valued and lead with the skills they have, boosting their future chances of employability in a job and career they enjoy.
